Clyde Hill West Bellevue's Best Views

Clyde Hill is the gate keeper of the West Bellevue communities. It is highly favored for its expansive views of Lake Washington, Mount Rainer, the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges and the Seattle or Bellevue skylines from its many higher elevations. Adequately named, Clyde Hill’s top elevation is 375 feet. The city’s park-like towering evergreens and a lush profusion of northwestern foliage on public and private property are the pride of its friendly citizens and a delight to visitors.

Just two miles from the heart of Downtown Bellevue, Clyde Hill provides an easy commute to some of the finest shopping in the region, downtown office buildings, and international cuisine all while still having a very clean, private and safe feel. At number 4 on the per capita list in Washington State it is home to many affluent residents.

Large manicured lots cover the majority of the 1.06 square miles with only two commercial properties which include the classic Chevron station and a soon to be renovated coffee house. Of the 1100 households in Clyde Hill many have been torn down and rebuilt into gleaming new construction of all architectural types but Clyde Hill is increasingly becoming home to contemporary marvels. However, you will find the occasional Clyde Hill retro mixed in among the mega mansions in neighborhoods like Vuecrest and Mercía.

The City is home to four award winning schools: two public schools – Clyde Hill Elementary and Chinook Middle School; and two private schools: Bellevue Christian School and Sacred Heart School.

In 2014 Business Insider named Clyde Hill the most affluent town in Washington State.
